Job Overview:
DND is seeking an experienced Product Designer to join our team. This position is responsible for developing innovative and functional suitcase designs that align with current market trends and meet the company's standards.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes, with the ability to effectively collaborate with external factories to bring designs to life.
Job Role:
- Develop functional and aesthetically pleasing suitcase designs that meet the company’s and market’s needs.
- Communicate effectively with external factories to convey designs, technical specifications, and material requirements.
- Conduct research on current suitcase design trends and market demands to ensure that the products are relevant and innovative.
- Determine appropriate material specifications and work with factories to ensure the availability and suitability of those materials for production.
- Submit detailed designs and specifications to factories for sample production, and review and evaluate the samples to ensure they meet the original design intent.
- Create detailed technical specifications and supporting documents for each design, including dimensions, materials, and finishes.
- Monitor the quality of the final product based on samples received from the factory, ensuring all details align with the original design.
- Continuously seek ways to improve suitcase design by incorporating the latest technologies and market trends.
- Communicate design ideas and project progress to internal teams, including management and marketing, to ensure alignment with the company's branding strategy.
